    Full-time
    Engagement type: Permanent - Employee
    Department: Capital Programme Delivery

Job Description

Do yourself a power of good

Join Vector and make a difference – for the world, your community, and yourself. Whatever your role, you’ll help tackle global challenges while improving the lives of 1.7 million Aucklanders.

The role

On offer: a rare opportunity to establish Vector’s programme management system, managing $500m+ value annually.

The Programme Delivery Assurance Specialist is responsible for enabling and assuring the effective delivery of Vector’s rolling programme of work through strong oversight of planning processes, delivery frameworks, tools, data standards, impediment removal and continuous improvement practices.

The role will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Project Delivery Framework, ensure the accuracy and usability of programme and project management systems, and establish robust onboarding and training processes to build capability across the business.

It will also drive the integration of AI and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making, while fostering effective relationships with system and tool providers to ensure solutions remain fit-for-purpose and future-ready.

The Programme Delivery Assurance Specialist plays a key role in supporting a high-performing, data-driven, and continuously improving delivery environment, as well as a higher level of collaboration across the organisation, cross-functional engagement and team-based decision-making.

Who are we looking for?

We envision you’ll have:

  • A wealth of experience in programme or project management environments, preferably within construction or infrastructure-related sectors
  • Excellent understanding of programme and project management frameworks, tools and methodologies
  • Experience in system administration or management of project delivery tools and related data systems
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and maintain data quality, including the development and application of data standards
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement, system implementation and innovation within processes and systems.

You’ll also be effective working in Agile and Value Stream environments, collaborating effectively face-to-face.

Why us?

Whether it’s the opportunity to work on challenges on a truly global scale in collaboration with leading technology firms, or to build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand through your work; or perhaps to work in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.

We also offer:

  • A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
  • Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Great benefits that reflect the importance of family
