This role is to lead a Motion NZ sales Team to meet and exceed the Company's sales and GP Budgets. This role is central to leading the service culture within the business with regular call cycles and territory management. There will be a focus on developing your team to ensure we have achieve the best business outcomes. Work with the wider Motion NZ group across both business, industry and collaborative growth.
What kind of work may be involved?
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional targets and business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to maximise performance and professional development
- Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to capitalise on them
- Infield coaching of the current sales team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies accordingly
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and KPIs to senior management
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align efforts and drive regional success
- Manage budgets, expenses, and resources effectively to maximize ROI
Ideal skills & experience:
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar leadership role
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing sales teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills
- Ability to travel within the region as required
- Ability to train, mentor and set up the Sales team for success
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools
