About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage and process requests for patient information efficiently and accurately from a variety of stakeholders, including GPs, insurance companies, private practices, NZ Police, patients, and legal representatives.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Monitoring the quality of the record and when a problem is identified take action to correct it at point of discovery
- Locating the relevant information using internal, external, electronic and manual clinical information sources where appropriate
- Making this information available to the requestor, as outlined in CRS protocols and procedures
- Attending and contributing to the CRS departmental meeting Performing other task as requested by the Team Leader or the Service Manager
This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday and based at Middlemore Hospital.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Additionally, a successful candidate will have:
- Previous Clinical Records experience (at least 3 years)
- Familiarity with the medical records systems
- Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Privacy Act
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
