An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced assistant manager to join our Nelson retail team. If you are positive and vibrant, love an uplifting vibe and want to share your sparkle to help make our store and team great, we would like to hear from you!
In this role, you will oversee the smooth running of our Nelson Retail Store 9:15 - 3:15 on Saturdays, and work 3.5 hours on a weekday, totaling 9 hours per week. Ideally you will also be available to cover for the Store Manager on other days of the week, if required. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Supporting store manager in operations and achieving the shop’s revenue targets
- Sorting donations and restocking shelves
- Maintaining store displays and cleanliness
- Collaborating with the manager to price goods appropriately
- Encouraging and supporting exceptional customer service
- Leading and motivating volunteers
* The store will be closed on the public holidays, ideally, you will be available to provide coverage for the days between the public holidays during the Christmas and New Year period.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in retail and interest in second-hand goods
- Ability to lead and motivate volunteers
- Customer focused with a "can-do" attitude
- Organised with an eye for detail
- Great interpersonal skills
