What’s the mahi?

Join us in shaping a more equitable, sustainable future for Aotearoa New Zealand, where people, places, and businesses thrive for generations to come. A bold transformation is underway in how we invest in, design, deliver and manage the infrastructure that underpins our nation’s wellbeing. You’ll be at the heart of it, helping to create better schools and hospitals, revolutionise the water sector, decarbonise industries, and bring major national infrastructure projects to life. Your work will make a lasting impact, not just for today, but for the future of Aotearoa.

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

We are a team of Infrastructure professionals who support government and private sector clients who are major asset owners or infrastructure providers. We help our clients solve problems, improve service delivery, make significant investment decisions, and deliver major projects.

We value people who are adaptable to working across different disciplines and clients, but also bring strong foundational skill sets that are relevant to infrastructure consulting. As an experienced consultant in our team, you will play a role in supporting junior team members, and leading work for our clients with the support of our senior leaders.

Here are the key things you will do to deliver advice that matters.

What are we for looking from you?

Alongside your industry experience in similar role, you may also have:

This role will suit consulting professionals with approximately 5-10 years’ experience looking to take the next step in their career.  We also know that not everyone wants to work full-time, and we offer the ability to be flexible in hours and work because work-life balance is valued at Aurecon. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for infrastructure and its role in shaping resilient, sustainable communities.

Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together for clients. We don’t expect you to have all eight of the attributes, but one that is unique to you.

What’s in it for me?

You will have access to competitive remuneration, a 4% employer contribution to KiwiSaver, flexible work hours and locations, working holidays, and remote work options. Outside of work, you will be further supported with benefits such as highly competitive paid parental leave, cultural holiday swaps, one of the best employees (and their family) wellbeing platforms in the country, and more!

You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident that your voice will be heard. We don't just claim that we're inclusive and innovative, it's proven by the independent awards and accreditations we have gained, and we're always seeking new ways to prove (and improve!) our commitment to diversity.

In May 2023 we were the first engineering company in Aotearoa to receive the Gender Tick, led by our people for our people. We also proudly partner with Pride Pledge.

Our Māori strategy (He Rautaki Māori) won two Good Design awards in 2022 for its outstanding contribution in bringing Te Āo Māori and digital innovation into operations and decision-making processes.

Ready to bring ideas to life?

Then please apply now! We are an equitable-opportunity employer that values diverse perspectives and the contribution that every one of our people makes to our culture. Put simply, we want you to bring your whole self!

We know that people from historically or currently marginalised backgrounds are less likely to apply for roles where they don't match all the advertisement criteria exactly - if this advert has piqued your interest and your experience may not align fully then we still want to hear from you and encourage you to apply. Remember, it's your potential and how you bring ideas to life which are important.

Your background, unique needs, and individuality are valued here. We are committed to ensuring that you are well supported so that our recruitment process is fair, equitable, inclusive, and available to everybody. Please let us know what adjustments or support you need to make the recruitment process more accessible to you.
