We are looking for a Senior Manager - Model Risk Oversight to join our Non-retail Credit Modelling team. This role will oversee and manage model reviews to ensure they meet policies, standards and requirements.

We sat down with our Head of Non-Retail Credit Modelling (who you'd report to), and he let us know the following about the role.
What are some day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Collaborate and engage with business stakeholders in the model development process to deliver high quality assurance.
- Conduct walkthroughs of key processes and models, identifying risks, and proposing pragmatic solutions.
- Assess model health and highlight issues, recommendations, and enhancements to new developments, changes, and model environments.
- Manage the Quality Assurance programme.
- Support enterprise model risk management practices, education, process & framework improvements, escalation of issues, and model assurance activities to better manage model risk.
- Refresh and maintain Operational Risk scenarios for Enterprise Stress Testing.
What are some of the skills that the successful candidate will bring to the role?
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in statistical and mathematical modelling techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in at least one of: VBA, Python, R, SAS or SQL.
- At least 7+ years risk, audit, or assurance experience.
- A sound understanding of regulatory standards, risk management practices, and products and systems used in the financial services industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience communicating findings and influencing senior management.
