What's the role about?
As Senior Policy Advisor - Data Analysis, you'll work closely with colleagues across Council to provide data insights that directly inform planning and policy decisions. Your work will contribute to solving some of our region's challenges, like how we plan for future housing and population growth.
You'll be a key part of a friendly, progressive team that values collaboration and innovation.
What you'll be doing:
- Analysing demographic and statistical data to inform Council policies
- Providing clear, actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
- Contributing to regional planning, including housing and infrastructure
- Advising on trends and opportunities using robust evidence and modelling
- Providing policy advice to elected members
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in data analysis and interpretation, particularly with population and demographic data
- A background in public sector policy and planning
- Excellent communication skills—you can translate complex data into clear advice
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic environment
