Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Technology Governance Analyst to join our Office of Technology team. This team partners with Technology and senior leaders across ASB to oversee operations and produce reporting across governance, risk, compliance, and milestones—keeping our board and executive team informed.
- Reporting to the Senior Manager - Office of Technology, you'll collaborate with the EGM Technology & Transformation (T&T), T&T Senior Leadership, and wider technology teams to deliver governance initiatives, policy, delivery, and technology strategy.
- Your focus will be on IT Governance processes. Expect a dynamic role, from coordinating end-to-end T&T committees (including Board and Executive-level report writing) to supporting BAU and ad hoc activities across the team.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in risk, compliance and technology governance, while also having the drive to improve processes, automate workflows, deliver sharper insights through data and reporting and supporting financial management of T&T investment initiatives.
- You'll also contribute to shaping technology strategy, uplifting governance controls, and technology policies.

This role plays a key part in supporting ASB's T&T governance. Success will come from your ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with your team and stakeholders. You're a clear communicator, able to distil complex information and prioritise effectively. This role is for someone who thrives on bringing structure and clarity to complex portfolios - ensuring the Technology Investment themes are well governed, risks are visible, and delivery leads are supported to succeed. Conceptual and analytical thinking will be essential as you support key initiatives and reporting.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Confidence in handling sensitive information.
- A passion for process improvement, workflow automation and innovation.
- Experience with Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Power Automate is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in Financial Services or Technology is a plus—but a willingness to learn is just as important.
