Transitioning Auckland's transport network on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task.
We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner to manage the delivery of Strategic, Programme and Single Stage Business cases for initiatives identified in the Regional Land Transport Plan, the Regional Public Transport Plan, and create a pipeline of new projects that can be assessed for inclusion in those plans.
The role also requires oversight and review of work produced by professional advisors and junior transport planners in the team.
Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity- Senior Transport Planner
- Initiate and lead the development and delivery of transport system plans and business cases.
- Develop plans to address and development and changing level of service demand.
- Shape and inform AT's long-term investment needs and create a prioritised pipeline of investment, to be funded through the Regional Land Transport Plan or other funding mechanisms.
Ko koe tēnei | About you
- A relevant tertiary qualification in transport planning, urban planning, project management or related discipline.
- Five years' experience in feasibility studies and business case process and development, ideally related to transport and funding.
- A good understanding of transport and urban planning; and local and central government policies
- Experience in co-ordinating or managing delivery of complex transport projects; or cross-agency projects.
- Some experience of reviewing and overseeing work produced by professional advisors and junior transport planners
