About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Sub Speciality Medicine Directorate at Wellington Regional Hospital as a Service Administrator for the Renal Service.
The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with the existing service administrator to provide timely, professional and high-quality administrative services to the Renal Service.
The role enables the service day-to-day operations to function smoothly and provides the renal service team with the administrative expertise, support and service they need to operate. The salary for this position is $75,201 - $83,092.
About the Team/Service
The Renal Service provides a full service for the management of acute and chronic renal disease to most of the central region of New Zealand (Capital & Coast, Hutt Valley, and Wairarapa), as well as home dialysis services to Nelson/Marlborough. This includes outpatient consultations, inpatient services, renal transplant services, and a pre-dialysis service.
The service maintains a strong focus and commitment to home-based dialysis, both peritoneal and haemodialysis. Satellite dialysis centres are located at Kenepuru and Hutt Valley, with a dialysis unit based at Wellington Regional Hospital.
The renal service team are a dynamic and diverse group who work closely together as a well- functioning team, where all team members are valued and appreciated for their contribution.

About you
You will be an action-oriented person who works well in a diverse team to support the achievement of positive outcomes for users of the renal service.
You will have the following experience and skills
- Proven experience in a Personal Assistant or high-level office administration role (2-3 years - experience desired)
- Knowledge of health environment is an advantage, but not necessary
- Working knowledge and proficiency in computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Teams
- Efficient and proven minute-taking skills
- Proven ability to be self-directed and autonomous
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Be well organised and manage time efficiently and productively
