About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic Speech-Language Therapist? Do you enjoy a variety of work and would you like to live close to everything the Central North Island has to offer? Then this could be the opportunity for you. You are invited to join our friendly team of professionals based at Palmerston North Hospital. You will have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to be flexible as an active participant within the Speech-Language Therapy and wider multidisciplinary team environments.
The prime focus of this position is delivery of Speech-Language Therapy Services to both inpatients and outpatients who present with a variety of acquired communication and swallowing disorders. The successful applicant for this position will work with adults in a variety of clinical settings including; acute medical; rehabilitation (A,T&R); outpatients and community services.
The Speech-Language Therapist is a vital member of the Allied Health and Therapy Service through provision of comprehensive speech, language and swallowing therapy assessment, treatment, education, advice and administration for clients within the MidCentral Health District
We would welcome applications from suitably qualified clinicians with 1-2 years of experience. Experience working with adults in a health setting would be an advantage.
