About the Role
We - re looking for enthusiastic Radiation Therapists (RTs) to join us at the Wellington Blood and Cancer Centre (WBCC), based in Wellington Regional Hospital. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you - ll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate care to patients undergoing radiation treatment.
This is a hands-on clinical role where you - ll be involved in the full treatment pathway - from localisation and planning through to delivery, patient assessment, and education. You - ll have opportunities to grow your skills, contribute to service development, and help shape innovative approaches to patient care.
About the Team/Service Location
Our Radiation Oncology team is a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking group dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture and commitment to innovation, consistently delivering a wide range of advanced treatment techniques.
You - ll be working in a well-equipped department featuring state-of-the-art technology, including three fleet-matched TrueBeam Linear Accelerators with IGRT, VMAT, FFF, gating, and stereotactic capabilities. Our facilities also include a Superficial X-ray unit, HDR brachytherapy suite with a dedicated theatre, our own CT scanner, and a fully integrated, single-vendor treatment planning and patient management system.

About you
You are a patient-focused Radiation Therapist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a positive, team-oriented mind-set are key, as is a willingness to embrace change and contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and even fun workplace culture.
You are motivated to make a real difference in patients - lives and eager to grow your skills while contributing to service innovation and the implementation of advanced treatment techniques.
To be considered, you must:
- Be a New Zealand Citizen or hold (or be eligible for) a valid NZ Work Visa
- Be registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board
- Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Have at least 3-years of work experience as a Staff Radiation Therapist (recent experience in both pre-treatment and treatment would be highly regarded, though not essential)
