Territory Manager, SPM – Auckland

This role will be responsible and accountable for business growth within the defined territory by maximising sales of Smith + Nephew Sports Medicine products and brands through regular contact with the target custom base.

What will you be doing?

  • Sales Budget: Responsibility for achieving and exceeding sales budget for assigned state territory and meeting Key Performance Indicators as set by Regional Sales Manager Sports Medicine NZ. Ensure the annual product portfolio sales targets are achieved in assigned territory.
  • Account Management: Develop and manage short and long-term account strategies that support S+N SPM strategies and objectives.

Implement and maintain an account management process that includes account assessment, account prioritisation, strategy development and execution, and regular account reviews with the Regional Sales Managers.

Sales Forecasting: Create accurate sales forecasts and provide timely monthly reporting to the Regional Sales Manager on the actual to forecast.

Actively monitor market trends including competitor activities and work out relevant strategies with the Regional Sales Manager to mitigate risks to achievement of sales forecast.

Sales Leadership: Influence, coach and support the clinical support members in providing exceptional case support and training.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in science or business related discipline
  • Experience: Proven experience in Sports Medicine and/or endoscopy clinical support or exceptional sales experience in related medical devices
  • Good understanding of the NZ public and private healthcare system
  • Ability to interpret financial and clinical data
  • Travel Requirements: approx. 20 – 80% depending on business needs.
