About the role
We’re looking for two Validation Technologists to join our team and provide support for validation activities across Synlait’s site projects. This includes both new manufacturing builds and updates to existing facilities.

Key responsibilities of this role include.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for equipment, processes, and cleaning systems.
- Support data collection and documentation during validation activities, including compiling reports and tracking progress.
- Participate in validation testing for equipment, cleaning (CIP/SIP), and manufacturing processes across the site.
- Help maintain validation records in line with Synlait’s Validation Master Plans (VMPs).
- Coordinate with project teams and contractors to support validation timelines and activities.
- Support assessments related to changes in equipment or process, ensuring validation requirements are considered.
- Assist in the development and delivery of basic validation training or awareness for site teams.
Skills and Experience
We’re seeking someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and keen to grow their technical skills in a highly regulated environment. You’ll also bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in dairy, ideally in infant formula or similar highly regulated industries is beneficial.
- Previous experience or exposure in validation, process engineering or quality systems preferred.
- Good written communication skills for report writing and documentation.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach and willingness to learn from others.
- Experience with Food Safety and HACCP systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of NZ Infant Formula Notice preferred.
- Well-developed problem solving capability with strong organisational and planning skills.
