Warehouse Manager Needed ASAP, based in Avondale
MediaWorks is looking for a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Manager to ensure our operations run like clockwork, with an ideal start date in early September.
There's lots of exciting growth opportunities at MediaWorks as we've secured all four major Auckland Transport outdoor advertising concessions — street furniture, transit, transport hubs, and billboards — making us New Zealand's largest Out-of-Home (OoH) provider. Combined with our #1 radio brands, this expansion cements our position as a true media powerhouse, reaching millions of Kiwis every week. With this growth comes new career opportunities within OoH, giving you the chance to be part of our fast-paced, dynamic team and help shape the future of media.
The Role
Reporting to the Field Services Manager, you'll take full ownership of the organisation, condition, and smooth running of our warehouse. This includes overseeing stock control, procurement, supplier management, and logistics for the Auckland Transport contract, ensuring our installation and maintenance teams always have what they need, when they need it.
From maintaining accurate stock records in Financial Force, to managing inbound and outbound goods, to keeping our warehouse safe, clean, and compliant — you'll be the operational backbone of our OoH delivery.
What you'll do
- Maintain accurate inventory records in Financial Force and ensure physical stock matches system records.
- Set and monitor minimum stock levels to prevent operational delays.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage the approved supplier process.
- Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and operations teams for timely, accurate deliveries.
- Implement and manage warranty processes and quarantine area records.
- Oversee waste management contracts and reporting.
- Conduct regular stock checks and biennial stock takes, reconciling any variances.
- Ensure the warehouse meets WHSE standards at all times.
- Manage stock inwards/outwards processes, FIFO stock rotation, and safe, logical storage.
- Train and oversee any staff or visitors to the warehouse to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely reporting on stock, procurement, and operational performance.
What you'll bring
- Previous warehouse management experience, ideally in a medium-sized business environment.
- Proven experience with Financial Force inventory management (essential).
- Forklift licence and unrestricted driver's licence (essential).
- Certificate II in Warehouse Operations (advantageous).
- Strong administration and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Physically fit, hands-on, and always safety conscious and accountable.
