The Properties tīma within the Operational Excellence business unit holds a critical support tūrangawaewae in BNZ. The team is responsible for delivering our property proposition, strategy, and workplace service functions to ensure we achieve strategic outcomes aligned with our ambition to deliver world-class colleague and customer experiences.
This position is based on site at Whitmore Street Wellington.

What are the day-to-day tasks the person will complete?
- Be the first point of contact for BNZers and visitors, providing friendly, profesional, and helpful experience across reception, concierge, and mailroom services.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail and courier operations, including mailroom receipt, internal distribution, CAS satchels, and national network delivery.
- Coordinate third-party courier pickups, track and trace deliveries, and record daily mail volumes to support invoice reconciliation and reporting.
- Support distribution services such as printing, collating, staff mail-outs, and coordinate with suppliers for specialised needs including international mail, dry cleaning, and catering.
- Oversee the presentation and upkeep of workplace areas, restocking kitchens, stationery cabinets, and monitoring shared spaces to ensure they’re well maintained.
- Assist with in-house event setup, catering coordination, and carpool fleet key management alongside the workplace concierge and event team.
- Operate as a key part of the broader Workplace Services team, supporting all aspects of the daily operations and stepping into tasks as needed to ensure a seamless BNZer experience.
- Manage first-day experience for new colleagues including H&S induction, building tour, and tech setup.

What skills are required for this role?
- 5+ years of front-line reception and administration experience in a large corporate organisation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft 360.
