Reporting to the Head of Academic Quality, the Academic Partner is an integral member of the team working with peers to support academic staff to design and produce high-calibre, current, pedagogically sound, and student-focused centred learning resources that support digital learning needs of the institute. The successful applicant will primarily lead and model quality processes, building a culture of simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement.
Your Key Skills And Experience
- Proven experience supporting effective learning and teaching, ideally including curriculum or course development
- Strong digital fluency, with the ability to use a range of learning technologies to enhance learner engagement
- Confident user of learning management systems (LMS) with the ability to support others in their use
- Practical knowledge of learning design principles—including assessment design—and a commitment to inclusive education that supports priority learners including Māori, Pasifika and students with disabilities
- Sound understanding of pedagogy and how it informs the design of quality learning experiences
- Collaborative mindset with experience contributing to cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams in an education setting
- Background in tertiary education or the wider education sector in Aotearoa New Zealand is an advantage
- A teaching qualification at an advanced level

Advanced study in areas such as digital learning, learning design, or a related discipline is desirable
