Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As Advisor Learning and Development (L&D), you'll be part of a team that's building a culture where all our people thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a multi-year L&D work programme that supports leadership development, core professional skills, cultural capability, and employee experience across the Ministry.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external providers to deliver fit-for-purpose learning solutions, support programme delivery, and help evaluate the impact of our learning initiatives. You'll also play a key role in sourcing providers, coordinating learning events and supporting continuous improvement across our L&D systems and processes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and making a real difference through learning.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A solid understanding of adult learning principles and best practice approaches.
- A strong focus on user experience with experience improving learning and development services and processes.
- Research, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage data and draw meaningful insights.
- A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of te ao Māori.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural worldviews and how this translates to a learning context.
- Understanding of LMS Systems and processes.
- Sound written communication skills and ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.

The salary band for this role is $73,634 - $100,846 with the appointing salary for this role likely to be between $73,634 and $94,591, based on skills and experience.
