Our National Infrastructure Unit supports the Government's infrastructure priorities. The NIU team leads advice to the Government on infrastructure policy and commercial advice, including the Government's guidance on Private Public Partnerships (PPPs). The NIU also leads the Treasury's fiscal advice on transport and communications. The NIU also leads the Treasury's fiscal and policy advice on transport and communications.

Korero mo te turanga | About the Role

We are looking for an analyst to work in the NIU for four months starting ASAP until the end of September/early October 2025 to work on Treasury advice on the draft National Infrastructure Plan. The draft Plan will be prepared by the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission and the Treasury, as primary advisors to the Minister for Infrastructure, have a key role in supporting his consideration of the draft.

A key part of this role will be engagement across a range of government agencies to ensure a whole-of-government view of the draft Plan.
