Mō te tūranga | About the role

Te Papa Atawhai - DOC is on the hunt for a skilled and detail-driven Asset Data and Reporting Analyst to support our nationwide team with accurate, consistent, and insightful asset management data and reporting across our asset portfolios.

This role is all about bringing clarity and insight to our asset management practices. You'll be central in shaping how we collect, interpret, and report on data – helping DOC make informed, impactful decisions.

The position will:

  • Deliver high-quality asset reporting and analysis that drives strategic decision-making
  • Define business process data standards, reporting requirements, and system specifications
  • Monitor and improve data quality and consistency across the department
  • Collaborate with asset managers and planners to enhance DOC's asset management capability
  • Help refine and develop new processes to optimise data flow and reporting accuracy

We're looking for someone who's not only a data expert but also a strong communicator and collaborator.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:

  • Demonstrable experience with Data Analytics, in a context that connects data to real-world processes and assets
  • Awareness of data modelling concepts and their relevance to analytical reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, particularly quantitative analysis
  • Proficiency in data warehousing and reporting tools (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse (BW4), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Microsoft Excel and plug-ins).
  • Clear, concise written communication skills
  • A collaborative, proactive approach to working with diverse stakeholders
  • A passion for supporting meaningful work that impacts Aotearoa's environment and heritage

Mō te tīma | About the team

The Asset Management Unit provides an effective and integrated asset management system across the Department's asset portfolio including recreational, historic, biodiversity assets, property, fleet and roading.

The team will work closely with their regional Planning and Performance colleagues around the country.

The salary range for this position is $92,450.00 - $116,985.00 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
