What you'll be doing
Corpay is currently on the lookout for a dynamic and highly organised person to join our team as an Assistant Accountant. This role sits within the Accounting & Finance division of our Ellerslie office. Your focus will be processing daily bank transactions and general ledger reconciliations and assisting with monthly and annual reporting. You will be a key contributor to maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organisation!

Role Responsibilities
Joining a high-performing finance team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, helping us deliver exceptional service and keep things on track. You’ll report directly to the Senior Financial Accountant and assist in the planning of accurate and timely monthly and annual reporting. You will be exposed to a diverse range of tasks that include the processing of daily bank transactions, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, general ledger reconciliations, and month end and year-end financial close processes. The Assistant Accountant will also be responsible for processing Mobil transaction and providing Mobil reporting as required.
Qualifications & Skills
The role will suit someone with a high degree of self-sufficiency, organisational skills, pro-activity and an ability to enjoy a quick-paced and busy environment. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, flexible and welcomes responsibility, takes initiative and pays huge attention to details. It's important that you are dynamic, willing to get to know the whole business and have a genuine positive personality.
To be considered for this role, you must also have the following skills and experience:
  • Previous accounting experience.
  • Ability to focus on various tasks with frequently changing priorities / deadlines.
  • Committed to improving internal processes and identifying inefficiencies.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, particularly during month end.
  • Full NZ work rights with no restrictions
