Explore your journey ahead
- Guest Service – Deliver exceptional bar service, creating memorable experiences for our guests from the first pour to the last sip.
- Drink Knowledge – Stay informed about our cocktail menu, wine selection, and premium spirits, confidently making recommendations and mixing drinks with precision.
- Presentation – Serve beverages with attention to detail and in accordance with our presentation standards.
- Cleanliness – Maintain a clean and organised bar, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with the floor and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service and an elevated guest experience.
- Upselling – Utilise suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales.
- Compliance – Adhere to all responsible service of alcohol regulations, health and safety policies and InterContinental brand standards.
What we need from you
- A passion for beverages, mixology and hospitality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality role is an advantage but not essential.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must have valid New Zealand working rights.
