Butchery Manager
Location: New World Ferry Road
Employment Type: Full-time
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Butchery Manager to lead our small but busy in-store butchery department. You’ll be managing a team of three – including one apprentice.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily operations in a busy butchery setting
- Lead, mentor, and support your team to deliver excellent results
- Ensure food safety and hygiene is a top compliance priority, alongside health and safety standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and waste control
- Maintain high standards of product presentation and customer service
- Ensure consistent quality across all products and processes
- Achieve sales, wage, and gross profit (GP) targets through effective planning and execution
What You’ll Bring:
- Trade Certificate in Butchery is essential
- Proven butchery experience with strong cutting and preparation skills
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- A commitment to team development and training
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Solid computer skills for managing orders, reporting, and department performance
- Strong and physically fit, with the ability to handle the demands of a busy butchery
- Availability to work extra hours if required, including weekends or public holidays
- A high level of commitment to your role, your team, and delivering great results
- A customer-focused approach and attention to detail
Days of work will be Tuesday to Saturday with hours discussed at the interview stage.
