This is an excellent position for an experienced hospitality professional to lead and work alongside fellow hospitality superstars.
Work weekdays only with nights and weekends off!
Sergeant is a bustling cafe with a very high volume dine in and takeaway coffee, exceptional cabinet food, a small curated Cafe Menu and a Corporate Catering Menu.

As Cafe Manager your role is to ensure a fun and professional atmosphere for staff and customers. An energetic and positive attitude is important while delivering the ideal high quality coffee & cold beverages & delicious food.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- 4 + years of hospitality management experience in New Zealand
- At least 1 full year of quality barista experience
- The ability to maintain speed while serving a high standard of beverages
- The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, be organised and have great time management
- Love customer service and thrive on the bustling cafe atmosphere and lead by example
Your responsibilities & duties will include:
- Ensuring high service standards of food & beverages as well as cafe operational standards
- Impart knowledge, skills & training for all cafe staff
- Serving customers, working the floor, managing the team, maintaining cafe environments and other shift management requirements
- Managing catering requirements alongside the kitchen team
- Managing hours budget & cafe rosters
- Upholding morale while growing establishment reputation & sales
- Ensuring food safety and health and safety of the cafe
- Stock controls & budget management, & ordering etc
