We’re on the lookout for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join our team in Dannevirke. In this hands-on role, you’ll be helping to maintain and care for a range of open spaces, including sports fields, parks, and public areas – keeping them safe, tidy, and looking great for the community.
What you’ll be doing:
- General maintenance of open spaces, reserves, and sports fields
- Mowing, edging, weed control, and rubbish collection
- Carrying out minor repairs and reporting maintenance needs
- Ensuring public spaces are clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard
- Operating small machinery and tools safely
What we’re looking for:
- Someone who enjoys working outdoors in all conditions
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience in grounds or property maintenance, National Level 3/4 in Horticulture (preferred but not essential)
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
