About the Role
The role of Chief Allied Health, Scientific & Technical is there to provide professional, strategic and clinical leadership, advice, and support to colleagues working across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.
This role is responsible for working collaboratively across the organisation, contributing to the development of a package of measures building on increased safety and support in clinical care, and the leadership and implementation of clinical projects and transformation work programmes.
About the Team/Service
Our team is a national function of the Hauora Māori Service group providing hauora Māori clinical leadership across Medical, Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health & Scientific & Technical, Mental Health & Addiction. We lead the Hauora Māori system of care improvements and the oversight and development of a holistic model of care and the national approach to coordinated comprehensive Hauora care. The team also support the development of Hauora Māori standards across the organisation and champion Pae Ora excellence in care and values-based leadership.
About you
As an Allied Health professional, you will have experience in strategic and technical advice as well as leadership planning, monitoring and process review. You will be able to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and in this role, you will establish and maintain relationships with external bodies such as Manatū Hauora, Pharmac, clinical training institutions, clinical quality and safety institutions, health information management entities, research organisations and regulatory bodies.
You will have:
- 10 years registration as an Allied Health Professional, with a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
- Minimum of five years in a senior leadership role with previous experience in a clinical leadership role
- Experience in leading organisational strategy development, strategic stakeholder management, and government support functions.
