ISS are seeking Full-Time Cleaning Supervisors at Waikato Hospital.
The Opportunity:
ISS are looking for Cleaning Supervisors located at Waikato Hospital. Directly supporting our Operations Manager, this role has a key focus to drive improvements to the standards of service delivered. The position is responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination and supervision of the Waikato Hospital Cleaning teams.
Profile:
- Proven Cleaning experience, with exceptional standard
- Supervisory and management experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Highly organised, solutions focused with a good eye for detail.
- Our successful applicant must be able to interact with a variety of people including staff, clients and the general public.
- You must be physically fit
- High level of self-motivation as well as the ability to motivate a team to consistently deliver the highest standard of service
- Deliver and actively engage in staff training
- Ensure all equipment maintenance is current, liaise with Operations Manager regarding any equipment break downs and issues.
- Identify and record any problems relating to cleaning services and or safety then initiate, recommend or provide solutions through the Operations Manager
- Investigates complaints, compliments, incidents and reports findings to the Operations Manager within the allocated time frames.
- Respects patient property, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Undertaking any other duties as directed from time to time by the Operations Manager commensurate with your abilities and training.
- Monitors ongoing progress of all cleaning staff within designated areas and acts promptly and appropriately to address performance, disciplinary or conflict issues with the Operations Manager.
- Arrange and co-ordinate relief staff including those required to cover approved leave and emergencies to ensure all sites are cleaned to specification.
- Daily and weekly team reporting of H&S, staffing, training and customer requests/concerns.
- Leads by example to reinforce and promote ISS commitment to safe work practice and a health working environment.
- Participate in monthly Health and Safety meetings held with H&S representatives.

- Cleaning Experience
- Supervisory Experience / Team Leader Experience
- Reliable and responsible
- A can do attitude
- Self-motivated
- A clean criminal record is a must
- Proof of covid vaccination status
- New Zealand work rights
