Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Commercial Events Coordinator on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the booking, planning, and hosting of commercial events across the University, ensuring that the University’s commercial interests and other outcomes and obligations are met.
- Support the ongoing development of the commercial events function for the University and the identification and development of opportunities to grow.
- Support the promotion of the University as a venue for commercial events.
- Ensure event holders are aware of the University’s requirements for hosting commercial events.
- Coordinate and provide event support and logistics, working with other VUW support services as appropriate, to ensure events and bookings run smoothly.
- Liaise with key university stakeholders to ensure events run seamlessly and risks are appropriately identified and managed.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and reviews.

- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to present information and respond to queries orally and in written form to internal and external stakeholders in a professional and credible manner.
- Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships.
- Experience in producing high-quality documents.
