About our group | Mō te roopu
The Communications and Customer team is part of the Corporate Services Group and provides leadership and support in the areas of external communications and media management, corporate communications and publications, ministerial and government engagement, and share information with the public through official correspondence and customer contact centre.
About the role | Mō te tūnga
You will be joining a team of communications experts based in our office in Wellington’s central city.
Telling our stories using social media will be a focus, along with sharing the work of kaimahi internally. You will also support other exciting external communications.
You will receive ongoing mentoring from the senior members of your team to ensure you develop and shine in this role.
The successful candidate will have some communications experience. In this role you will:

manage our social media, including sourcing, developing and writing content; monitoring and reporting; and generating insights

contribute to our internal communications
-
partner with other teams to plan and deliver communications across channels
-
support our communications administration
-
contribute to e-newsletters and corporate documents
About you | Mōhou ake

Ideally at least two years’ communication experience

Ability to creatively use language to communicate science and environmental topics

Salary range
$71,618 - $107,426 per annum (midpoint 89,522).
This is the full salary range. Appointments will likely be made at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience. An appointment at the midpoint assumes 100% competency in the role, with the full band covering a range of 80% - 120%.
