About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, Compliance and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to provide hands-on support and functional advice across our operating units. You will play a key role in driving compliance with HSEQ systems, improving risk management practices, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability.
This role combines field-level advisory support with coordination of key compliance activities to ensure we meet internal standards, legislative obligations, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to managers and staff to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation and the company’s HSEQ Management System.
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are followed through to completion.
- Develop, review, and maintain safety documentation such as SOPs, JSEAs, hazardous substances registers, and compliance records.
- Coordinate and deliver site-based HSEQ training, toolbox talks, and committee meetings.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and third-party auditors and act as the primary contact for workplace incidents and injury case management.
- Support the implementation of site emergency plans, business continuity plans, risk registers, and environmental management plans.
- Promote and support sustainability initiatives aligned with the company’s circular economy goals and environmental targets.
Qualifications
About You
You’re a safety-focused professional with practical experience in HSEQ advisory or compliance roles. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team to support safe work environments and ensure robust systems are in place. You are confident communicating across all levels of the business and thrive in dynamic, operational environments.
What You Bring
- Strong working knowledge of HSEQ legislation, systems, and risk management processes.
- Experience in safety audits, investigations, and development of corrective actions.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to coach, train, and influence others in best practice safety behaviours.
- Experience coordinating compliance and reporting tasks in operational or industrial settings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification and experience in Health & Safety, Environment, or related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Internal Auditor experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence.
