As Community Development Coordinator, you’ll help deliver programmes and initiatives that support community wellbeing, youth employment, economic development, and events that bring people together. You’ll work closely with a supportive team and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to make Gore a great place to live.

In addition to the above, you will:

  • Contribute to strategic planning and reporting
  • Represent Council at community meetings and events
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Solid IT and planning capabilities
  • A genuine passion for community engagement and development
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in New Zealand

Why Work for Us

At Gore District Council, we offer a supportive and inclusive work environment where your contributions truly make a difference. You’ll have access to professional development opportunities, a collaborative team culture, and the chance to be part of projects that positively impact our community.

If this sounds like an opportunity for you, then we would love to hear from you!
