We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Credit Risk Lead to join our Business & Corporate Banking Financial Risk team. In this role, you'll play a central part in delivering strategic credit risk outcomes across the nCino platform and broader Tribe initiatives—helping shape banker experience, reduce risk exposure, and uplift risk capability across the business.

This is a 6-month fixed term role. As a Credit Risk Lead, you will:
Be an active member of nCino squads, ensuring delivery of key credit risk priorities in line with business objectives.
Provide expert input on credit policy and process across both Consumer and Business Lending.
Identify credit-related risks in projects and processes, ensuring these are documented, escalated, and mitigated effectively.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the Build and Run My Business Tribe to embed controls and deliver process improvements.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, risk awareness, and capability uplift within the team and wider business.
Support the Head of Financial Risk in delivering key initiatives, including the enhancement of credit risk frameworks and operational effectiveness.
Influence decision-makers and drive a strong culture of risk and control in line with regulatory and internal expectations.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
Strong knowledge of credit risk management practices, particularly in SME, Rural, or Commercial banking.
Deep understanding of ASB Credit Policy (Consumer and Business Lending).
Demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders and challenging the status quo to enhance processes and reduce risk.
Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
3-5+ years of banking experience with a focus on credit risk or lending, ideally with experience in risk-rated loan origination and management.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
Passion for building capability in others and fostering a continuous learning and improvement culture.
