As a Crew Performance Manager based in Auckland, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of up to 150 Cabin Crew across short and long-haul operations. You will oversee a mix of Onboard Managers, Business and First-Class Flight Attendants, and Flight Attendants, ensuring high standards of safety, service, and performance are consistently met. Key responsibilities include coaching and development, monitoring wellbeing including fatigue, injury and sickness, and managing day-to-day operational needs. The role requires occasional early starts, weekend work, and participation in a rotating on-call roster every 7 weeks to support emergencies or escalated situations. Collaboration across departments within the Qantas Group will also be essential to drive operational efficiency and support local initiatives that enhance crew performance and engagement.

You’ll have:

  • Proven leadership experience within an aviation environment, managing a large and distributed workforce
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate and influence individuals at all levels
  • Demonstrated capability to build effective teams and support skill development
  • Skilled in facilitating collaboration across departments and driving change initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Sound knowledge of employment and workplace laws, and confidence managing casework consistently
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with flexibility to adapt to operational demands
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting crew in a dynamic operational environment
