At Downer New Zealand, we take pride in delivering services that keep communities moving. We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to join our team in Wainui. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys supporting others, and takes pride in delivering high-quality administration support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Being the friendly first point of contact for visitors and clients
- Managing reception duties and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements
- Processing purchase orders, daily job records, and assisting with month-end procedures
- Providing administrative support, including organising meetings, catering, mail, couriers, stationery, uniforms, and filing
- Supporting building management by coordinating maintenance requests and maintaining records
- Contributing to our strong Zero Harm safety culture by promoting safe work practices
Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua
- Previous experience in administration or office support
- Confident, approachable, and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently, stay organised, and manage multiple tasks
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with JD Edwards or SharePoint is a bonus)
- A team player with a collaborative approach and a strong eye for detail
- Current driver’s licence desirable but not essential
