About the opportunity
Dayforce is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Principle to join our global Cybersecurity organization. This engineering role is key in delivering core service capabilities such as Domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, MS Defender for Endpoint, Server and Cloud, Virtual Machines, Microsoft Entra services, PIM, and Privileged Access Management (PAM). This role will work in close partnership with Cybersecurity Architects, Technology, and P&T (Product & Technology) teams and interface across all business areas.
What you’ll get to do
- Implement and configure Microsoft Entra services, including virtual machines, DNS, DHCP, and security components.
- Build Microsoft Entra DC following Dayforce security standards
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, implementation, and setup of the technical infrastructure that require independent judgement and creativity.
- MS Entra automation and integration with CRM products
- Ensure scalability, availability, and performance of MS Entra resources.
- Create new processes and operational plans
- Identify issues and develop recommendations that address significant risks and complex issues.
- Design and create endpoint security solutions in M365 Intune and Microsoft Entra conditional access policies
- Participate in POCs of new security products and services and validate integration capabilities aligned with business needs.
- Excel at being agile and responsive to changes in plans and see it as an opportunity to excel.
- Deploy MFA and conditional access security improvements.
- Provide Tier 3 support during major incidents and work closely with respective teams during these incidents to troubleshoot to help drive response efforts.

- Create technical documentation, provide training and guidance for other team members.
- 5+ years engineering experience with Microsoft Entra and Onprem AD
- Strong Experience Microsoft Entra services, including MS Entra Virtual Machines, MS Entra Storage, MS Entra Networking, and other Microsoft Entraservices. Familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings is essential.
- Experience in deploying MS Entra infrastructure, VMs, DNS, DHCP and other core services.
- Extensive MFA and Conditional Access knowledge
- MS Entra resource remediation using various CNAPP tools.
- Experience with MS Entra Monitoring and Log Analytics. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to MS Entra services.
- Experience in leading technical discussions related to MS Entra with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of SSO, MFA, Federation, RBAC, MS Entra PIM
- Knowledge of cloud Identity Access Management functions in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS public cloud environments MS Entra. AWS is a plus.
- Highly proficient in automation scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Certifications such as CISSP, Cloud Security (CCSP, CCSK, AZ-305, AZ-500) are highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of working with CI/CD frameworks and methodologies such as automated testing (unit / integration) and release pipelines (e.g. ADO, GitHub Actions) is a plus.
