We're on the lookout for a skilled Data Engineer/Analyst to help strengthen our data platform and drive smarter decision-making. In this role, you’ll design and build robust data pipelines, enhance automation, and deliver impactful reporting solutions using Power BI. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow their expertise across both Data Engineering and Reporting/Analytics, working at the intersection of data infrastructure and business insights.
What does the role entail?
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines in MS Fabric
- Diagnose and troubleshoot existing data pipelines and reports, providing seamless support for end users
- Craft compelling visualisations using Power BI to convey data-driven insights
- Transform complex business challenges into BI solutions, guiding the entire process from requirement gathering to data discovery and solution design
- Document essential business processes, code, pipeline lineage, and metadata
- Advocate and instil best data practices across the company
- Conduct end-user training on report access and empower super users with the skills to harness data from the warehouse effectively
What are we looking for:
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, with a preference for expertise in Microsoft Fabric
- Proficiency in visualising and analysing data using Power BI and Excel, with comfort in using DAX and Power Query
- Solid T-SQL skills and adept at data modelling, particularly in Star Schema.
- Python programming knowledge would be advantageous
- Understanding of financial accounting would be advantageous
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a talent for data storytelling
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Track record of thriving in cross-functional project teams
- Strong work ethic, team player mentality, and the ability to work autonomously
