About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Electrical Supervisor role just for you! In this position, you will manage the day-to-day organisation of assigned field staff, with a major focus on customer satisfaction, and co-ordination of staff. To ensure work is completed safely, on time, to an appropriate quality standard and to achieve planned profit or better as per job bid targets. Join our Substations team within the Power Services Division and make a real impact.
- Planning work for staff on a daily basis and supervising field staff.
- Performing high voltage maintenance and construction work to client specifications.
- Installing substation and other high voltage equipment, as per job instructions and specifications, meeting current regulations and standards.
- Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client’s plant and equipment by completing projects and maintenance work on time and to requirements.
- Ensuring that both Omexom and the client comply with the Contract Agreement.
- Identifying and submitting all variations.
- Producing of quality assurance documentation and field installation procedures in line with various contract and project specifications.
- Managing labour to maintain excellent productivity and industrial relations.
- Ensuring safe working methods and the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act are followed and communicated to all staff through regular site meetings.
- Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
- Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participate in Perimeter worker participation practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Trade qualification as electrician or electrical fitter is preferred.
- EWRB Practicing License Required
- Hands-on experience in substations and other high voltage electrical work to industry standards.
- A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work.
- Sound writing and verbal communication skills
- Possess a high level of problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Professional, proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- A clean and valid Class 1 full NZ driver's license
