Te Tūranga /About the Role:
The Engineering Planner is responsible for developing and executing the preventative maintenance plan in partnership with the Engineering Manager and Team Leaders. Communication is imperative in this role as the Planner will be dealing with multiple stakeholders across the site to ensure the maintenance schedule is planned, scoped and administered with the least production downtime possible.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Planner will also have the opportunity to work on projects and will be a subject matter expert in organisational and continuous improvement in a FMCG environment. They will be process and details orientated and be confident in delivering a full, complete work schedule to the team to get the job done right first time.
This position will be based at our Pareora site. The expected hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm.
Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:
Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders
Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant activities on the organization’s plant and equipment
Collaborate with maintenance supervision team, resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes
- Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs
- Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
- Working with vendors and contractors as needed
- Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices
Ōu Pūkenga /About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be well organised, logical and methodical thinker and have good computer skills, experience in planning, scheduling and/or logistics. You will demonstrate your broad knowledge of general engineering practices with your skills in scheduling, work scoping and performing maintenance on various FMCG machinery.
You will be a confident communicator and be able to develop relationships with a wide range of people to achieve the best outcomes for production.
