Each year, our team delivers 11 annual events alongside a range of community events and activations varying in size in scale. We are proud to be industry leaders in planning and successfully delivering high quality community events. Our team is professional, confident and highly skilled drawing from each other's expertise across the industry.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei
We're a collaborative bunch and when we're not out on site leading from the front with all aspects of event delivery, we're in the office managing logistics:
- Event planning and production schedules.
- Contractor and stakeholder management.
- Health and safety plans, debriefs, permit review, budgets, and traffic management.
- We also provide support to community organisations.
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
You'll be an experienced events professional with a strong background in leading large-scale outdoor events. You understand the complexities of delivering major public gatherings and have extensive knowledge of event operations, health and safety regulations, and traffic management planning. You will also:
- Be level-headed, adaptable, and thrive under pressure, bringing an 'all hands on deck' approach to ensure seamless event execution.
- Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills allows you to confidently manage stakeholders, while your ability to problem-solve on the go ensures events run smoothly.
- You're not afraid to bring fresh, creative ideas to the table and can take a concept and run with it.

- Hours of work: Monday - Friday (days are negotiable) with expectation of weekend work during event periods.
- Position: Permanent, full-time.
- Location: This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street.
- Salary: The salary band for this position goes from $81,227 - $90,252 per annum pro rata based on a 30 hour week.
