Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We are looking for a Finance Lead, Learning Support to join our Finance team based in Wellington. This newly established role has been created to provide oversight, development, and coordination of Learning Support financial transactions at Te Kura.
As a kura, we receive funding specifically to support ākonga with learning support needs. In this key role, you will work closely with the National Lead Learning Support to integrate business improvement practices that enhance clarity and transparency around how funding is managed and spent. Your efforts will enable the regional Learning Support teams to focus on delivering pastoral and educational support to ākonga, while you ensure sound financial stewardship and effective use of resources.

You will have strong financial expertise and a collaborative approach to improving processes. You'll be confident in working with financial systems and data, with the ability to communicate clearly and support others through training. An understanding of the education sector and learning support is a plus.
- Skilled at developing and integrating financial process improvements.
- Proficient with Excel and comfortable learning new financial technologies.
- Excellent communicator who can work effectively across teams and support others.
