We are looking for someone positive, with strong customer service focus to provide service for our Front Counter based in Counties Manukau.
Every day you will be dealing with challenging situations which will need to be approached with professionalism, respect, empathy. You will be welcoming customers into the station and ensuring their enquiries are understood and handled appropriately.
You will need strong attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
This role provides operational and administrational support to Police which includes but is not limited to, front counter customer service, exhibit/property management, data entry, use of Police systems, typing and file management.
This is an 8am until 4pm role.
Key Accountabilities:
The ability to deal empathetically with challenging individuals in a customer services environment.
A sound knowledge (or ability to learn) of computer applications, in particular NIA and Microsoft suites.
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work hard in a team environment.
The ability to prioritise workflow.
The ability to manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks and files and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professionalism - Taking pride in representing Police and making a difference in the communities we serve.
Being supportive of one another - Supporting our colleagues across every function and level of Police.

Must be a New Zealand Citizen or a New Zealand Permanent Resident.
Current First Aid Certificate is desirable, but not essential.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $69,337 and $72,430 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
