George FM is gearing up for another epic summer, and we're looking for an Event Assistant to help bring the George FM Summer Tour 2025/26 to life. The role
You'll be part of the George crew, helping pull together one of the biggest summers on the NZ dance music calendar. From artist logistics to suppliers, ticketing to backstage riders, you'll be across all the moving parts that make our events run smoothly. This role is hands-on and varied; one day you might be drafting run sheets, the next you'll be rolling cables, meeting artists, or helping pack down a stage at 2 am.
It's a 15-week fixed-term role. You'll need to be cool with working nights, weekends, public holidays, and through the summer breaks too.
What you'll do
- Support the National Promotions, Integration & Events Manager to deliver the George FM Summer Tour.
- Coordinate logistics, suppliers, artists, and venues.
- Help wrangle budgets, artist riders, and health & safety docs.
- Be on the ground for event setup, pack down, and show-time action.
- Keep artists, sponsors, venues, and crew in the loop with smooth comms.
- Drive George FM / MediaWorks cars (so a full, clean NZ licence is a must).
What we're looking for
- Someone with 2-3 years' experience in music events (bonus points if it's in the DJ/dance scene).
- Based in Auckland and ready to travel.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and a natural problem-solver.
- Comfortable working under pressure and rolling with last-minute changes.
- A great communicator who can keep things professional but still bring the George vibe.
- A team player who's reliable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about dance music culture.
