Global Programmes Lead

NZRC offers a total remuneration approach of $90,404 for this role, which comprises of base salary as well as employer contribution to KiwiSaver. While remuneration rates are set to reflect that we are a humanitarian not for profit organisation, we believe our employee leave provision and flexible working arrangements, provide a highly rewarding work experience.
About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga
Are you passionate about humanitarian work and experienced in international programme leadership? Join New Zealand Red Cross and help us improve lives by mobilising the power of humanity. As Global Programmes Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing our international programmes (excluding the Pacific region), supporting delegates, and strengthening global partnerships.
In this role you will:
- Lead and support the recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of Red Cross delegates.
- Manage international programme planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Facilitate training and contribute to emergency response efforts globally.
- Maintain strong relationships with international partners and stakeholders.
- Drive programme learning and improvement through robust evaluation frameworks.

To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience in international aid, development, or humanitarian response.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to lead inclusively and represent an organisation externally.
- Skilled in monitoring and evaluation methodologies at field level.
- Empathy for humanitarian causes and commitment to the Red Cross mission.
