About the Role
Our facilities across Selwyn host and support a range of recreation and sport activities for all ages and stages and we are looking for an experienced Group Fitness instructor to join our team.
- You will plan and deliver classes ensuring you cater for all abilities and fitness levels.
- Priding yourself on the ability to attract repeat customers.
- Build positive relationships and provide a welcoming environment.
- This role will teach a variety of land and aqua based classes but ideally you will be qualified and interested in teaching a range of classes such as Pump and RMP.
About you
Our ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year's teaching experience however we are open to applications from candidates with other relevant experience.
- You'll have a genuine passion for the sport and recreation industry
- Motivated to connect with our community through quality group fitness classes.
- Commitment to customer service and embrace opportunities to upskill.
- Have the ability to provide a safe, healthy and encouraging environment for class participants

The Community Services & Facilities Group is the externally facing group of Selwyn District Council that facilitates and delivers community opportunities, experiences, services and programmes to build the capacity, connection, and overall well-being of the community. This is achieved through services and programmes including aquatics, arts, culture and lifelong learning, community and economic development activities, community centres and halls, events, funding, libraries/service centres, and sports and fitness activities
