Zespri is more than simply the world’s single-largest marketer of kiwifruit. We like to think of ourselves as fruit on a mission and as rebels with a cause: to help people, communities and the environment around the world thrive through the goodness of kiwifruit. We are proudly the world’s largest marketer of kiwifruit, selling kiwifruit in more than 50 countries. We work with around 2,800 New Zealand and 1,500 international growers and post-harvest companies to source the best-quality Zespri Kiwifruit which we supply through our distribution partners to wholesale and retail customers. We are one of New Zealand’s best-known international brands, dedicated to creating sustainable long-term value for growers.

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that shapes the financial future of Zespri and the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry? As Group FP&A Manager, you’ll be at the center of high-stakes analysis and reporting that informs decisions at the highest levels - including Zespri’s executive team, Board, and industry stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this is your opportunity to become a trusted expert in group forecasting and lead the evolution of our forecasting and reporting tools.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Lead the production, analysis, and reporting of the full New Zealand supply forecast - including sales, direct costs, overheads, orchard gate returns, and the Zespri Alternative Revenue Statement - at both group and Kiwifruit pool levels.
  • Manage and develop a team of analysts to support forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of pool policy, segment allocation documentation, and related models, with reporting to the Zespri Board, subcommittees, and industry bodies.
  • Act as a key contact for financial reporting and analytics, supporting NZ and overseas accounting requirements and leading the financial planning year-end process.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and contribute to strategic projects.
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and insights to support commercial decisions and evolving business needs.

Ko wai koe? Who are you?

We are seeking a proven People Leader who thrives on building strong relationships with all stakeholders. With a passion for process improvement, you will also have:

  • 7 + years relevant experience in a similar role within a commercial organization.
  • Experience with accounting software packages and forecasting tools.
  • Exposure to a large ERP system (advantageous).
  • Advanced financial analytics/modelling skills, with ability to manage and manipulate large data.
  • Experience with Analytical and Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • A super collaborative approach with solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in business, accounting or finance (mandatory).
  • CAANZ qualified or similar finance qualification (mandatory).
