About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to lead our quality compliance function at Synlait. This is a newly created role and is critical for ensuring our products meet stringent regulatory requirements across various global markets.

As Head of Quality Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust compliance frameworks that ensure our end-to-end supply chain adheres to international standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a respected leader with a proven track record of fostering collaboration across all levels of the organization. You will excel in planning and executing compliance strategies that drive success and uphold our commitment to quality.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in all markets.
  • Lead the Quality Compliance team and drive the implementation of regulatory requirements across all manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure consistency and traceability in compliance practices through effective documentation and system management.
  • Prepare for and lead regulatory audits , ensuring all functions, documentation, and processes are audit ready.
  • Collaborate closely with the regulatory team to guarantee compliance success and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Train and develop staff to build a strong understanding and ownership of compliance standards.
  • Advise on compliance needs to ensure readiness from day one.
  • Build a culture of compliance where adherence to standards is understood and valued at all levels of the organisation.

Skills and experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
  • Proven experience in leading complex compliance processes in infant formula manufacturing.
  • Proven record of leading successful registration and certification audits (e.g., GACC, SAMR, FDA, EU).
  • Strong background in regulatory requirements, internal auditing, and document control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex regulatory requirements and effectively train staff.
  • Methodical and structured approach to managing compliance systems.
  • Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems (e.g., FSSC, RMP, HACCP, GMP)
