Mo te tunga | About the role
You will provide expert technical advice and support to strengthen the organisation's strategic and operational approach to all aspects of health and safety. In addition, you will work closely with the Manager of Health and Safety to build relationships and partner with key internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the development and implementation of health and safety processes and practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and requirements.

You will be a resourceful leader and expert in health, safety, and risk, driven by a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety in a diverse environment is essential
- Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting individuals at all levels within large, complex, and high-risk organisations, including multi-site and remote operations.
- A resourceful and self-motivated leader who takes ownership of challenges and problems as they arise, and thrives under pressure.
- Skilled in multitasking, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering practical solutions to complex problems that drive business success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication and particularly the ability to present ideas, information and advice in a way that is understandable by a range of audiences
- Influencing business practices across business groups to drive the adoption of a whole-of-organisation approach to health and safety
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga M ori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Annual remuneration for this position starts between $125,926 and $139,459 dependant on experience.
