MediaWorks is looking for a detail-driven, proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to help keep our people, operations, and work environments safe.
There's lots of exciting growth opportunities at MediaWorks as we've secured all four major Auckland Transport outdoor advertising concessions — street furniture, transit, transport hubs, and billboards — making us New Zealand's largest Out-of-Home (OoH) provider. Combined with our #1 radio brands, this expansion cements our strong market position as we reach millions of Kiwis every week.
The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Business Partner, you'll ensure MediaWorks' Outdoor division maintains full compliance with health & safety regulations, while coordinating repair and maintenance activities across our operations. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll work closely with operations, warehouse, and field services teams, as well as external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with all Health & Safety regulations for the Outdoor division.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
- Review audits and assessments to identify and address potential hazards.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance activities, liaising with suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety checks, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to operational teams.
- Prepare Health & Safety compliance reports and contribute to manuals and procedures.
You'll bring:
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Ideally 2+ years' experience as a Health & Safety practitioner.
- Experience conducting audits and hazard assessments.
- Skilled in preparing reports, presentations, and compliance documentation.
- Strong administration skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, adaptable communication style.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Why you'll enjoy working at MediaWorks:
- A culture built on inclusion, respect, and loving your tribe.
- Work in a vibrant, social environment where creativity, innovation, and "we don't do boring" lead the way.
- Collaborate with talented people across NZ's most-loved radio brands, rova, and our premium outdoor network.
- Earn a competitive salary with ongoing career development, mentoring, and training to help you succeed.
- Enjoy birthday leave, volunteer leave, exclusive MediaWorker perks and discounts, and free access to our wellness platform.
- Be part of a fun, supportive and inclusive team that celebrates differences and makes a positive impact.
- Get involved with Moana, Rainbow, and Women's network groups, and support community change through the MediaWorks Foundation.
About Us:
