Our HR team have some big initiatives for this year, so you’ll need to bring your experience and passion to deliver meaningful outcomes across recruitment, employee relations, workplace culture, and compliance. The role is very much hands-on, therefore your ability to coach, guide, and mentor will need to shine to ensure we’re able to reach our initiative across the business.
The Success Pillars for this role
You’ll be seen as the go-to person for all things HR, balancing operational priorities with people-focused initiatives, with a solutions mindset, and looking for ways to support our team members' needs. The way you will do this is by applying some core focuses, which will include:
- Coaching and Mentoring: working closely with our leaders to build their capability in managing people, driving engagement, and navigating change with confidence.
- On-trend HR Practices: embedding flexible and adaptive HR management techniques to enhance team collaboration, improve performance, and deliver continuous improvement and outcomes across the business.
- Generalist HR Support: supporting our first impressions from recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Compliance and Governance: ensuring our business is meeting its New Zealand employment legislation obligations, through your ability to interpret and apply legal frameworks to our business perspective.

- Experience: 3–5 years in HR, with a solid foundation as a generalist and exposure to learning and development.
- Coaching Mindset: a strong desire to inspire leaders and employees through mentoring and guidance, helping them navigate their challenges and embrace growth opportunities.
- Open-Minded Thinking: a passion for out-of-the-box solutions, inquisitiveness to understand different management and HR practices, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Employment Legislation Knowledge: a thorough knowledge of NZ employment law and a keen interest in wanting to learn Australian employment law, with the ability to interpret and apply them to commercial outcomes.
- Adaptability: a readiness to embrace change, juggle competing priorities and make a difference in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
