The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Information Systems, with multiple projects happening concurrently, you will be part of a team providing day-to-day testing and contribute to the successful delivery of the program of work. You will work with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts and the business to find bugs, and drive feature development to completion.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Understand and know when to use manual, smoke, UI, functional, happy path, integration, regression, security, load and system testing and related test tooling.
- Be comfortable with web-based application testing as well as using SOQL queries and understand relational database structures.
- Work with the team to ensure that all change is tested appropriately.
- Find, triage and report defects, bugs and aberrant system behavior.
- Work with the team to ensure that testability is part of new features and strategies for feature and system-wide testing are developed.
- Be proactive in identifying testing risks; deficiencies and issues.
- Be clear on how to identify and create positive and negative test scenarios
- Be responsible for assessing testing requirements, scope and sizing for forward planning of releases
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in software testing and agile software development methodologies, values, principles and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Experience in testing of SaaS solutions e.g. Salesforce, Workday etc. Domain knowledge in Salesforce, Identity, Entitlement Systems would be very beneficial.
- Test automation with great test process /notes /strategy /test management strategy; Salesforce, preferred.
- Experience working with business users for UAT, Test automation & manual test
- Experience executing functional and non-functional test phases across complex environments.
- To be effective at identifying the materiality of testing to be completed and where efficiencies can be affected.
- Able to learn new technologies quickly, and as requirements may change, a solid understanding of related risk.

Office-based working environment, work from our Christchurch, New Zealand office three or more days per week.
